If you have a true calling to help those in need, look no further than this essential African medical program. Based in the bustling city of Nairobi, Kenya, volunteers will work in a local hospital in the heart of the city. The goal of the medical program is for volunteers to support the health of locals and provide care in areas where there is little access to healthcare. You’ll experience this amazing city, culture and its friendly people while providing vital healthcare support.
Participants will meet like-minded volunteers from around the world on the program, and work in roles suited to their level of training and experience in a busy hospital. Put your skills and compassion to good use and sign up as a volunteer today!
Airport: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), Nairobi

Our prices don’t include flights, travel insurance, visas or vaccinations, but we can provide information and support on obtaining these. You may also need additional spending money to purchase additional foods and snacks, local transport, weekend tours and excursions, and return airport transfer.
This important medical volunteering program is best suited to students and fully qualified medical personnel, with placements depending on your level of skill and experience. Placements are currently at Lusigetti Hospital, one of the largest and busiest hospitals in the city. The hospital offers a wide variety of care to their patients, including in and out patient care, maternity care, a laboratory and pharmacy. Adjacent to the hospital and part of the program are dental, nutrition, TB, HIV and counselling services. Regardless of your training, you’ll find a healthcare area where you’ll be able to put your skills to the test and help those less fortunate.
Working alongside professional doctors and nurses, you’ll support them where it’s needed most, helping in a city where families are desperate for quality healthcare. The first few days of any placement are observation-based to ensure you get a real feel for how things are done and for the culture. Volunteers stay with ‘Mama’ in the Volunteer House, experiencing the fun and camaraderie of a volunteer community from around the world. See you in vibrant Kenya – sign up now!
